DIY: Mouse Pad

We've all had those requisite generic mousepads we didn't want to throw out.  The solution?  Cover them with a pretty fabric with a project that won't take more than 5 minutes!

What you'll need:

  • glue gun
  • glue sticks
  • mouse pad
  • fabric
  • scissors
  • cardboard
First: Gather materials, cut out fabric and leave a little room to fold

Next, place mouse pad upside down and glue around the edges(I added a layer of linen fabric for a bit of extra padding)

Place desired fabric(I used a piece of beautiful kimono remnant fabric) and repeat gluing step.  Finish by gluing a piece of hard cardstock or cardboard for backing.
Voila!  A beautiful "new" mousepad.  Easy piecy.

Home Decor: Wall Flowers

I love the inexpensive yet chic design elements of wallpaper and even beautiful wrapping paper.  Why not use it as wall art...?

What's Your Style?: Home Decor

I love looking through Apartment Therapy's  house tours.  It's a great source of inspiration on home decor, or even to help you figure out your "home" style.  Stripes are not my thing.  I'm not big on "nautical" themes.  I prefer less modern decor, and I know I love anything cozy.  They seem to have something for everyone.

Wow.  This house is cool.  Not totally my style, but still.  Now this is more up my alley.  A mix of vintage, thrift, and modern finds.   Very feminine and oh so pretty...
